“This outdoor courtyard sculpture comprises curved steps, planters and polished green granite paving blocks with photographs sand-blasted onto their surfaces. The arrangement of the various elements is asymmetrical, providing a deliberate contrast with the rectilinearity of the building that surrounds the work. The photographic images depict the endangered plants and wildlife of New Jersey. This technique seems particularly well suited to the composition, as the images disappear when it rains, reappearing slowly as they dry, as in the process of photographic development, underscoring the fragility of the state’s natural resources.” – Downtown Trenton Artwalk
