“The Trenton Federal Building is significant as a large WPA project and as one of the few federal courthouses and post office buildings in New Jersey of that era (along with Camden and Newark). Despite some changes, the exterior of the building still firmly communicates its originally intended architectural form and its civic role. The primary character defining interior spaces of the building, especially the sequence of vestibule to entrance hall to courtrooms, are intact.” – U.S. General Services Administration

Note: The name of the building honors New Jersey native, State Assemblyman, Monmouth County Court Judge, New Jersey State Superior Court Judge, and New Jersey’s Chief Federal Judge Clarkson S. Fisher.
