The Capital City  Farmers Market
Kicks-off May 9,2019 in Historic Mill Hill Park

 

The 2019 Capital City Farmers Market (CCFM) willbe offering locally grown produce, handcrafted teas, flowers, potted plants,sweet treats, freshly, cold-pressed juices, preparedfoods and more!  This 20 plus year staple in the heart of Downtown Trentonis a lunchtime oasis for anyone working and residing in the area. The marketbegins on Thursday, May 9, 2019 and runs for six months through October31, 2019 from 11 am - 2 pm in Historic Mill Hill Park located at 165 East FrontSt.

More than just MercerCounty's largest lunchtime event in downtown Trenton, the Capital City FarmersMarket is an incubator for local entrepreneurs and newer small businesses togrow their customer base and eventually open up a storefront.  Evergrowing, the market attracts over 4,000 patrons each week, offering asmall glimpse into what makes Trenton great.

New For 2019

CCFM  welcomes RiverLea House which willbring fresh New Jersey grown garlic and garlic-related products and offering aFRESH alternative to older garlic found in supermarkets. Visit their booth tolearn all there is to know about garlic, from how to grow, proper ways to cookwith it and share great recipes while you shop at this booth. River Lea Housesources first from their farm, then New Jersey, then the US. If not, then onlyreputable growers they trust. All from farms to your table whether at home oryour favorite restaurant. Besides fresh garlic, they sell garlic scapes(seasonal), black garlic, freeze dried and an assortment of pickled items likegarlic, scapes, asparagus and onions.  One of their specialities is freshhummus made with no preservatives.

River Lea House joinsmany dedicated long-standing CCFM vendors.  We are pleased to announce thefollowing returning vendors: Asprocolas Acres; The Salad Basket; Arlee's RawBlends; Cream Ridge Winery; The Market at Styers; Tea-For-All; The CheesecakeLady; Royal Cake Creations; CLEB Jewelry; Iree Sky; Al Francis Fashions; Bestin Bloom,  Krakus Deli; and Pickelicious, New vendors to be addedthroughout the season.

Music  Series Returns to Thursdays in June

As if  the excitement for the market to resume wasn't enough, June 21 marks the opening dayfor Levitt AMP TrentonMusic Series. Starting just a few hours after the marketends in Mill Hill Park, this 10-week concert seriesfeatures live entertainment from 5-8pm from June 27-September 5, 2019.  The official announcement of headlinersfor the series is coming soon.

Markyour calendars now because Thursday will be your favorite day of the week inour Capital City all spring and summer long.
