Taylor Ham or Pork Roll?
No matter what you call it, this delicious--if not slightly mystifying--meat is a Trenton staple which is set to headline not one, not two, but three festivals this coming weekend.
On May 23rd downtown Trenton will be playing host to the 2nd Annual Trenton Pork Roll Festival(s) at the Trenton Social and Mill Hill Park and the Vegan Pork Roll Festival in the Gandhi Garden on East State Street.
Though pork roll is what gathers us, as always these festivals have so much more to offer. With activities planned for kids and adults alike, get ready live music, recipe contests, as well as some pork roll history and art! And keep look out for this year's Pork Roll Queen, to be crowned at Mill Hill Park.
You can enjoy this year's vegan event free of charge! However, due to the popularity of last year's event, the festivals in Mill Hill Park and the Trenton Social will be capped after a certain number patrons. So be sure to buy your tickets in advance, both are $5 and available online!
Whether you enjoy the "real" thing or prefer a healthy alternative, it's sure to be an indulgence for the tastebuds! See you there!
