This week's TDA Spotlight shines on Anita's Guacamole, a CCM favorite since 2010. However, this Miami-based business began 11 years ago with Mauricio Mendez's great-grandmother's all-natural recipe.

Since Mendez took on the family business out of a small kitchen at 23 years-old, Anita's Guacamole has expanded quite extensively. Soon after opening a second store-front in Philadelphia, Mendez became involved in the Philly-Trenton area farmers markets like Wednesdays on Warren and Capital City Market. He tells us that CCM is "part of the growing process."

Since his exposure at TDA's "fast-paced" markets, Mendez began selling his product to wholesalers. Anita's Guacamole is now available locally at the Pennington Market and numerous other natural food markets in the greater Philadelphia area.

What's next for Anita's? Hot sauce.
Mendez tells us he's currently in the process of developing a mild hot sauce using a South American citrus-like fruit called, lulo, set to be released within a year.
